About the Instructor

Senior Instructor

Rosetta Ngugi

Rosetta is an engineering graduate who became drawn to the world of education after an internship at an international school in Mombasa, Kenya where she discovered her love of teaching and learning. “I found my home in the classroom; not because I think I know a lot, but because I love learning. I believe you have to be a learner at heart to inspire others to learn. I consider it a privilege to be in a position to help shape a young person’s vision for the future. Like the eminent poet Tupac Shakur, I hope to spark the mind that changes the world.” She has a postgraduate diploma in education and a masters in applied physics, and has taught mathematics and physics in various curricula including British, American and Kenyan curriculum. She was also a teaching assistant in Physics during her graduate study in the United States and carried out research in STEM education. She decided to launch the STEM learning platform named Hesabulab in 2020 after recognizing the need for quality online instruction in mathematics and the sciences, following the coronavirus pandemic. Rosetta is also an avid sports fan, and has played basketball to club level in Kenya and has coached both youth soccer and basketball.
